Thanks for the invite shroomAzoom.

My name is Steve Joudrey, my caching partner is Carole and recently added partner Babe.  We found out about geocaching in 2006, and love everything about it.  We like getting to places we never would have been to, hiking trails, parks, historical sites, even bushwhacking to...well wherever.

Living in Red lake geocaching has to become a road trip and we usually make the best of it.  We don't get out often but when we do geocaching is always on the top of the list.  We are planning to get out more often in the next few years.

I do enjoy this website and hope I can become more active because of it.

Hey Steve! Glad you joined us here. I was just checking out your caches (wondering if we'd get a chance to try one on our way through this weekend.) But I see you're hides are much closer to Red Lake than VBay (thus far.) :) Nice add of the NWOG logo too!

I am learning some things, like if you're writing a post and get logged out you can lose what you have completed so far :o  So now I changed my settings so that won't happen again.  I am enjoying reading up on the history of the site and have learned a thing or two already.

I do have a question regarding posting.  I have never come across an hyperlink, or a hyperlink,  option such as this before, tried html and that didn't work, for some reason I'm stumped ???...That has been know to happen from time to time.

For example, if I want to hyperlink this, how do I get the this in there?...if you know what I mean.  I'm usually pretty good at figuring this stuff out...with the help of other people of course ;D

Good question on the linking Steve. I had a hard time figuring that one out too. You've found the "insert hyperlink" button on the post editor, I see. It looks like a globe with a peice of paper in the bottom right corner. Well, when you select a word to link to, and click that button it puts BBC tags around it. BBC stands for Bulletin Board Code. If what you have selected is a URL, the tag will link to that URL. If it isn't a URL, you need to enter the URL in the tag. Like this...

Code: [Select]
Visit the [url=http://www.geocaching.com]Geocaching website[/url].

The above code produces this...

Visit the Geocaching website.

lol unlike most I like the roundabout. When I worked in Winnipeg my office over looked a roundabout, it was good entertainment :D

I need more people to place caches in Kenora ;) My three young kids don't allow me to travel far and there aren't many left for me to find.

Hi to all

In the Kenora area and have been geocaching for two years. Not that active last year due to the amount of rain we had but hoping to log a lot of caches this year  ;D

Would love to met more Kenora cachers and maybe do a few searches together.

Whitewolf...have you done dead man's gully yet? I'd like to but it suggests not going alone. I kinda go out without a lot of notice....if the kids are all healthy and their dad is home...planning a time to go might not be possible with me :P
